A fully themed service portal built in my Personal Developer Instance around a fictional company — demonstrating real catalogue design, flow automation, and approval workflows.
In progressProject goal
Demonstrate a production-ready self-service portal that reduces reliance on direct contact with the service desk — showing end-to-end request handling from submission through approval to automated fulfilment, using only a free ServiceNow Personal Developer Instance.
What I built
Configured a custom Service Portal theme using the Crestline brand palette — header, navigation, fonts, and homepage layout all set to match a real intranet deployment.
A self-service catalogue item with dynamic variable sets, an automated fulfilment flow, and a branded notification email with self-service deflection signposting.
Multi-team fulfilment with parallel tasks assigned to IT, HR, and Facilities — each tracked independently through Flow Designer, mirroring a real onboarding workflow.
Catalogue item with conditional variable sets — the form adapts based on what is selected. A manager approval gate is required before fulfilment tasks are generated.
